About the Book:
Life is unpredictable - full of both unexpected blessings and unexpected pain. When life falls apart, the natural human response is to question 'Why?' But what if there are no answers, and where is God in our suffering?
From a happy, secure childhood and adolescence progressing to higher education and a legal career, Kathryn's life was going according to plan until a devastating diagnosis of ME/CFS left her life and dreams for the future in tatters. With raw honesty, she recalls the isolation, pain, frustration and despair which ensued from this disabling and much-misunderstood chronic illness, as both her body and her faith in God took a battering.
After months of confinement to bed accompanied by a river of tears, hope sparked anew and God began to lead Kathryn on a surprising and exciting physical and spiritual journey which has turned her life around.
This is a story of hope in suffering, the realities of living with ME/CFS, challenging questions of faith, and an assortment of overseas adventures.
