About the Book

Brad Lyons is a driving instructor and part of the South East Queensland driving school, Coastwide Driver Training. Over the years Brad has delivered thousands of hours of traning to learner drivers. He has also presented training as part of the RACQ Driver Education Program, Leighons Contrators Youth Drive Safe Program and the Rotary Club Young Driver Awareness (RYDA) program.

Since the introduction of a compulsory 100 hour log book for Queensland learners in 2007 more and more learners have delayed starting professional lessons until the later stages of their log book. For some time now, this has also been the case in other states around Australia where the log book system had been used for many years. Unfortunately this means they aren’t learning correct procedures until after they’ve developed bad habits.

With this in mind, Brad sat down and wrote the Pocket Driving Instructor. This book is designed for supervisors and learners alike and aims to give you the tools you need to develop correct driving habits before it’s too late.
