About the Book
The book gives a graphic account of an A grade referee’s experiences both in Darwin and Brisbane in the 1970’s. The author describes in depth many fascinating happenings during matches, many very humorous and involving some very high profiled Rugby League identities in that era.
The Author, through his many years viewing today’s game identifies what he considers are very grey areas within the game that are having devastating effects on the games popularity with very notable crowd absence at games particularly in New South Wales and even in Darwin.
The Author demonstrates his concern for the future of the game and offers some very interesting solutions to overcome these grey areas. It is clear that the Author’s love of rugby League has motivated him to highlight these grey areas in the hope that they will be addressed by the Administrators and once again the game of Rugby League may become ‘Rugby League, the greatest game of all'. |
